The Artist

I believe that every artist has a story to tell. My story started as a child, where I was always drawing, painting, and searching for different ways of being creative. I was attracted to everything that could be used in an artistic way. I grew up with Art being a positive influence on me, teaching me a way of being free in my own little space.

Having considered Art as only a hobby, I was encouraged to take it a step further when my high school Art teacher convinced me to take it seriously. I worked intensely on Art in high school, using various Artistic methods and materials, had my first solo Exhibition, and obtained an International Baccalaureate Diploma in Art.

Despite the fact that my graduate studies were not related to Art, I continued to paint and started exhibiting my work. I was convinced that Art was what I loved doing and I therefore joined an Art School ‘Ecole Muncipale d’Arts Plastiques’ in Monaco, South of France, to further my education in Art.

Given that everyone’s social situation has an impact on their career, mine has an impact on my Art. Since I am half Kuwaiti and half English, I am proud to be a part of different worlds and cultures. Traveling is a part of my life and inspires me to discover the beautiful nature of the world which is reflected in my work. My souvenir is to create a painting of what I have seen, a memory I keep forever. Taking photographs helped me to capture these memories, which is why I always have a camera in my bag. Photography added a new dimension to my work.

As an artist, I express my appreciation for life and nature through my Art work using colour, light, movement, and the magical beauty that I find around me. I often paint using Acrylics on canvas, but I also enjoy painting on paper, glass, silk, and on pebbles. My recent projects involve working with Mosaics and creating Papier Mâché Teddy Bears. All my Art works are made with positive energy, love, care and happiness.
